Effective October 14, 2026
Raindrop Foundation San Antonio ("we", "us") is a nonprofit organization based in San Antonio, Texas. This policy explains what personal information we collect through raindropsanantonio.org, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We collect only what we need to run our programs, events and fundraising. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for anyone else's advertising.
What we collect, and why
We collect the information you choose to give us through the forms on this site:
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, so we can reply.
- Volunteering: your name, email, phone number, interests and message, so we can match you with opportunities.
- Newsletter: your email address, and your name and organization if you give them, so we can send you news and invitations.
- Event registration: your name, email, number of guests, your answers to any questions on the form and, for paid events, payment status. We may also ask for feedback after an event.
- Trip enquiries: your name, email, phone number, group size, preferred dates and message.
- Academy and program registration: a parent or guardian's name, email and phone number, an emergency contact, the details of the children being registered that the form asks for, photo consent, and payment status.
- Donations and membership: your name, email, the amount, the payment method and whether it is recurring, so we can process your gift and send you a receipt. You can ask for a gift to be shown as anonymous.
When you submit a form, we also note how you found us (for example, the website or social media post that linked you here), so we know which of our outreach works.
When you make a donation, we add your name and email to our supporter list so we can thank you and keep you informed. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
Payments
Card and online payments are handled by Stripe, PayPal and Zeffy. Your card or bank details go directly to them and are never seen or stored by us. Each processes your payment under its own privacy policy. If you give by Zelle, your bank shares your name and the amount with us, as with any bank transfer.
Visitor statistics and cookies
We count visits to understand which pages are useful. Our statistics record the page visited, the website that referred you, and your country, worked out from your internet address. We do not store your internet address. To count unique visitors, we keep a one-way scrambled code made from your internet address and browser type, which cannot be turned back into either.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics such as Google Analytics. The only cookie this site sets is for our staff when they sign in to manage the site.
Our contact page shows a map provided by Google Maps. When that map loads, Google may collect information under its own privacy policy. Links to videos on YouTube or Vimeo take you to those sites, where their policies apply.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that run this website for us, and only so they can provide that service:
- Railway, which hosts the website.
- Supabase, which stores our database and files. Our database is hosted in Australia.
- Resend, which delivers the emails we send, such as receipts, confirmations and newsletters.
- Stripe, PayPal and Zeffy, which process payments.
- Anthropic, whose AI assistant our staff may use to help draft replies and other content. When they do, the message being answered may be processed by Anthropic, which does not use it to train its models.
Some of these providers process information in the United States and other countries. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it for. We keep donation records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. When you unsubscribe from our emails, your address is removed from our mailing list.
Children
Our youth and academy programs are registered by a parent or guardian, who provides the child's details. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time, using the link in any email.
- Ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it, or to delete it where we are not required to keep it.
To make a request, email info@raindropsanantonio.org. We will reply within 30 days.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), access to personal information is limited to our staff who need it, and staff accounts are protected by passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
